NEWS2010-04-20 Svanstein Film & Photo Week
The GirlRiders Sweden team has been recording in Svanstein over the easter.
We have been shredding 24/7,we got a lot of material for our next movie. Visible Contrast, but we still need much more material.
It has been a busy time with recording and interviews with local magazines, TV & radio.
I would like to thank the team for awesome riding, and I’m looking forward to the next team hook up.

Congratulations Titti Landström!
Titti has had a long and hard season, with loads of injuries, and lack of riding interest,
because of the entire body ache.
The sun is shining at her again, she won Järvsö Big Air, with a switch 180 & switch 360.

NEWS2010-04-01 North Face Ski Challenge
Big congratulations again to our team rider Emma Dahlström!
Emma was competing in North Face Ski Challenge.
Where you add the points you get from offpist and park riding.
The weather was bad and the view over the hill was barely visible at all when Emma did her offpist run.
Emma felt in her first run, and couldn’t do her second run because the rest of the offpist challenge got canceled.
Emma made it to the finals in the park competition.
Emma got I’ll on the final day of the competition and was thinking of cancel it all.
She took herself together and did the final run, even do her chances was low to get in to the top 3. The weather was still bad on the 3:d day of the competition, but a 360 nose grab, and a backflip in the corner brought Emma to 1:th place in the North Face Ski Challenge !

NEWS2010-03-18 7th EDITION OF OAKLEY GIRLSESSIONS AT RUKA, FINLAND 8-11.4.2010
Ruka, Finland 8-11.4.2010 is going to see yet another all girls ultimate showdown - the Oakley Girlsessions.
This event is famous for attracting female riders of all levels from Finland, but also attracting more and more girl riders from all over the Europe to hit the perfectly shaped Ruka BatteryPark. Girls have a possibility to compete in different levels including a 3 star swatch TTR contest, freeskiers slope style, team contest, individual slope style and pipe competition. No matter if you are a newcomer or a pro or riding snowboard /skies.
The four day long event brings together all levels of girl freestyle enthusiasts to have fun together! The event culminates into the 3Star TTR Slope style competition, which is the event not to be missed. So make sure you book your flights for this year’s grooviest event!

What I would say about this. Is that every day should be like the 8 March. But even doh we are celebrating a lot of stuff that happened in the female history;
Women started to fight for their right to vote in both Copenhagen & Germany
Women was protesting against war and its consequences in Russia
Russian soldiers and women was striking for “bread & peace”
I would also like to add, that’s its stupid to have a name for something that is obvious, all human should have the same rights.
You should not need to call yourself a feminist, it should be enough to be a clever human.

NEWS2010-03-06 European Free Ski Open
The slopestyle competition got cancelled because of bad weather.
The riders of European Free Ski open got to battle for half of the prize money in a rail jam.
Our own rider Emma made it to a 5: Th place! Big congratz Emma! Good effort!

Big congratulations to Emma Dahlström that did a sick run in the European Free Ski Open in Laax.
The line 360, 720 & 540 took her to a first place in the qualifications!
Big congratulations to Maria Bagge as well, that made it to a 5: th place, they are both qualified to the semi-final!

NEWS2010-02-11 Rest in Peace Eric Simard
We all got the news that Eric Simard passed away.
A great inspirer for GirlRiders Sweden.
It was with tears in my eye I read the article about Eric´s passing on, and I think I can say that I am
talking for all of us when I say everybody got touched from this news.
If you ever are going in the same thoughts as Eric,please talk to somebody, we do not want anything
like this to ever happen again.
I suggest everybody that is reading this acclaim Eric with a quiet moment.
Eric, you will be sadly missed, never forgotten.

The winter is getting closer, and we are still working on our new snowboard-team! The girls are getting pumped and
most of them have already started shredding!
As everybody knows we are planning to make a new snowboard and twintip movie. We are going to
record all over Sweden, but most in Sälen and in the northern parts.

The first snow came to go away in Orsa this tuesday (6:th), I think I wasnt the only one to be joyful.

NEWS2009/09/06 Aqua Jam
It was civil war at Aqua Jam 2009. Three of the GirlRiders Sweden riders were fighting for the first place at Aqua Jam 2009. .
Everybody did an awesome effort, especially Emma Mellgren with her frontflip truckdrivers!
Emma Dahlström was showing good mood, even do she lost her binding in the first jump, and later she lost her ski in the deep black hole of Lillån.
It was real fun to so high quality of the riders in Aqua Jam 2009!

We have finally started the fresh update of this webpage. And a lot of things are going on in the GirlRiders Sweden
project. We started to build up a new Swedish team; of course will Titti Landström stay in the twintip team. She is back after a major knee injury, she´s getting stronger than ever, so keep your eyes open for her in the slopes!
We also added Pernilla Johansen, Emma Dahlström and Michaela Utsi (Michaela the Swedish masterships winner) to our twintip team, Welcome!
This weekend we have been recording with Maria Bagge, that also joined our team, (She also won the seniors Swedish mastership finals!) in the water jump in Orsa, we got loads of clips and pictures! Enjoy!
